June 23-25: Parliamentary Field Visit to Thailand

CDOT Director Eteri Kvintradze discussed capacity development activities with the visiting IMF/World Bank Parliamentary Network delegation. The Field Visit aimed at knowledge exchange the National Assembly of Thailand, Ministry of Finance, Bank of Thailand, IMF CDOT, World Bank Office in Thailand, Thai Credit Bank, Benjakitti Park, and Community Organizations Development Institute (CODI). IMF and the World Bank regional offices Members of Parliament from Luxembourg, the European Union, France, Italy, Singapore, and the United Kingdom participated in the field visit.

June 17: IMF-WBG Media Workshop

In preparation for IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings CDOT Director Eteri Kvintradze discussed IMF capacity development activities at the IMF-WBG Media Workshop. Mr. Nadhavudh Dharmasiri, Deputy Director of Fiscal Policy Office (FPO), Ministry of Finance and Ms. Chayawadee Chai-Anant, Assistant Governor of Corporate Relations and Spokesperson of the Bank of Thailand (BOT) also presented at the workshop. More than 40 journalists from various media outlets in Thailand participated in the workshop organized by IMF-World Bank communications departments.

June 5: IMF Managing Director visited the IMF Capacity Development Office in Thailand (CDOT)

The IMF’s Deputy Managing Director, Kenji Okamura, visited Thailand on June 4–5, 2026, highlighting the Fund’s strong partnership with the Thailand. During his visit, Mr. Okamura also visited the IMF Capacity Development Office in Thailand (CDOT), reaffirming the IMF’s commitment to capacity development as a core pillar of engagement with member countries, alongside its support for CDOT’s efforts to deliver high-quality technical assistance and training tailored to countries’ needs. CDOT’s work is made possible through the generous support of the Government of Japan and the Bank of Thailand.
