July 29 - 30: IMF Academic Fellowship Workshop on “Navigating Southeast Asia's Economic Future: Policy Pathways and Regional Resilience” IMF’s Communications Department held the IMF Academic Fellowship Workshop on “Navigating Southeast Asia's Economic Future: Policy Pathways and Regional Resilience” at the Bank of Thailand on July 29-30, 2025. The event was co-hosted by the Bank of Thailand and organized by the IMF Capacity Development Office in Thailand (CDOT). |

The workshop sparked active discussions and knowledge exchange on regional macroeconomic and financial issues, including regional integration, income disparities, industrial policy, structural transformation, and the development of monetary policy, with a focus on the Thailand case. There were 18 academics from Indonesia, Lao P.D.R., Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, and Thailand attending the workshop. |
