CDOT assisted the Bank of Papua New Guinea (BPNG) in strengthening source data to improve the coverage, periodicity, and timeliness of the balance of payments (BOP), with emphasis on large current account transactions. The mission developed a work program for compiling international investment position (IIP) statistics which will assist in improving the coverage of the financial account.
